Portland Wedding Photos

I want your wedding photos to tell the story of your wedding day here in Portland. I want them to look and feel true to what your wedding day was like. My photography style is a blend of candid and photojournalistic documentation of your day with plenty of direction and guidance to make you feel comfortable during more “posed” moments like family and couple portraits. I find a balance between taking beautiful and romantic wedding photos and not having your wedding day feel like it’s one big photoshoot.

My work starts long before your wedding day. I work hard to be clear in my emails and timely with my responses. To me, my communication with clients and the experience of working with me is just as important as the photos that I deliver. I love helping with timelines, answering questions, and generally being as supportive as possible throughout the process. I’ve even put together a wedding guide that covers common topics.

When it comes to your wedding day, I arrive ready to have fun and excited to document your day and tell your story. I offer a professional experience and I'm always friendly and easy to work with. A word I hear often to describe myself is “chill” which I think fits pretty well. I’m easy going but know how to get down to business!

What sets you apart from other wedding photographers in portland?

I know there are a lot of great photographers in Portland. What I can say with certainty though is that I have over a decade of experience photographing weddings and I know the shots that matter and how to shoot them. I also know that I’m not the star of the show on your wedding day. I want to make your wedding fun and easy and I don’t want it to feel like an all day photoshoot. I capture natural, candid moments and my images are bright, colorful, and never trendy with weird presets or filters.

Do you shoot engagement sessions?

Yes! I love working with couples before their wedding day. It’s a great opportunity to get to know each other and for couples to have some exposure to being in front of a camera. It’s also a fun way to highlight your life together in Portland. There are so many great locations like Mt. Tabor, Powell Butte, and the International Rose Test Garden.

What are your favorite wedding venues in POrtland?

As a natural light photographer I love shooting outdoor weddings. I put together a list of some of my favorites here. Portland venues like Cathedral Park, Hoyt Arboretum, and Abernethy Center are all amazing. There are also plenty of indoor venues with great natural light too such as The Evergreen, Ecotrust, and Castaway.
